FWS1800ss WASTE COMPACTOR

Purpose
The FWS1800ss Waste Compactor is used for the volume reduction of mixed Waste, being compacted into either a heavy duty plastic bag or a strong non-synthetic box. Mixed Waste can be taken as follows: Cardboard/Paper - Aluminium - Plastic - Food - Cloth - Wood - Glass - Other.The operation of the Compactor is not adversely effected if the Garbage is wet (up to 10% water by weight).

Identity
The major components of the Waste Compactor are a hydraulic pump/motor,pressure switch , transformer , control module, sterilization lamp and air filtration unit.

Approx. 0.06 C.Y. (46m3 15.87/45.4Kg) av. weight (wet waste will weight more). A 'Full  Loading Lamp' will let you know when the compacted load is ready for removal (control of the waste cube weight is made by adjustment to the Limit switch in the upper chamber)

Clean warm soapy water is required for cleaning the Waste Compactor

Check hydraulic fluid level
Check for fluid leaks Tighten guide rods and cylinder nuts
Check function of door switches

Six Monthly
Replace UV sterilization lamp
Replace particle and charcoal filter packs
Check quality of hydraulic fluid

Annually
Check correct function of all electrical switchgear
Check insulation reading on motor
Reset compaction pressure setting
Check floor mounts for tightness

Bi-Annually
Replace hydraulic fluid - ISO grade 32 or 46
Replace door switches
Replace limit switches

General
The Waste Compaction cube will need replacing from time to time, but this is very dependent on the use and whether boxes are used in conjunction. The Compaction chamber should be cleaned every time the cube is removed, to prevent the build up of Waste on the plate.

The external and internal faces of the machine only need to be wiped with a cloth.

The area around the UV sterilization lamp should be kept free from Waste and the housing cleaned when the lamp is changed.
